Course Overview

Women and Gender Studies explores the changing role of women in society from ancient civilizations up to the present day.

Through this exploration, students will uncover women that are left out of core class curriculums and question why? Students will also take an in-depth look at the feminist movement’s history and the fight for gender equality and its intersection with other social justice movements past and present.

Students will start to explore the ideas of gender and identity and how it has defined societal structures and roles throughout history and how those roles are still evolving.
